🌹How to Accept Yourself🌹
🙏🏻Try self-forgiveness
If you’ve hurt people in the past or acted in ways you’re not proud of, forgiving yourself can feel hard. However, it signifies that you own up to your mistakes, accept responsibility, and are allowing yourself to move on. Go you!
🥰Practice self-compassion
Self-compassion involves giving yourself warmth and understanding during difficult times or when you feel inadequate.
Some ways to practice self-compassion include:
➡️Talking to yourself like you would to a friend.
➡️Put your wishes for self-help in writing.
➡️Considering the bigger picture of your position.
➡️Engaging in self-care such as meditation, exercise, and healthy eating.
Even though we frequently have no control over the events in our lives, we could make an effort to live more deliberately every day. Easy right?
👏Applaud your abilities
Perhaps your pals come to you when they need someone to listen to, or you bake a mean apple pie. Or maybe you have a green thumb or are a diligent worker.
Anytime you feel proud of yourself, you may take a moment to jot down all of your strengths, no matter how big or tiny.
😈Ignore your inner critic
It's simple to listen to your negative ideas and be your own harshest critic. We are all experts at that aren’t we!
But if you notice yourself starting to criticise yourself, try pausing, taking a step back, and considering what you would say to a buddy going through a similar experience.
🚫Cultivate your inner circle
Nothing compares to having relatives and friends you can confide in and share your darkest secrets, worries, and hilarious anecdotes with. Feeling accepted can be achieved by surrounding yourself with people who accept you for who you are.
It's not that you're settling for less when you accept your shortcomings and mistakes. As a matter of fact, being aware of your limitations is beneficial to your mental health (trust me, I’m a nurse)
